We are starting the school year 'On Fire!' Literally. Saturday our Laundry room Dryer caught on fire and Fire District 9 responded. The Firemen were great - checked for any damage to the roof and our building and found none - it was just an electrical fire in the top of the unit. .. we removed the old Dryer and will be looking to replace the unit soon.
As some of you know, we have Mead alumni working for Fire District 9 and four of them were on scene Saturday.
Ryan Loncosty - 2004
Eric Regalado - 2005
Chris Jones - 2007
Marc David - 2012
Good boys back then and now moving up through the ranks of the fire department.
Fire District 9 continues to support Mead High School at our home athletic events played at Mead High School and Union Stadium. They even travel to away events if they are available!
This year marks the 9th year that Mead High School and Fire District #9 personnel have been involved in a joint effort designed at enhancing the safety of Panther student- athletes. Beginning with the 2014 Football season, Fire District #9 has provided firefighter/paramedics at Mead High School volleyball, basketball, wrestling and football home games, including football games played at Albi Stadium and now Union Stadium They have also been on site at numerous district basketball, volleyball and wrestling events held at Mead High School.
We greatly appreciate their support and our partnership!
THANK YOU!
