Mead High School

 College & Career Center

Welcome to Mead High School’s College and Career Center’s website! The College and Career Center is an extension of Mead High School’s amazing team of counselors. Our goal is to support the mission of the school and assist students in developing a High School & Beyond Plan that will help guide and prepare them for their postsecondary aspirations. The postsecondary aspirations may include pathways for application to four-year colleges or universities, two-year community or technical colleges, apprenticeship programs, industry standard certificate programs, military training, or on-the-job training. Our mission is to make sure that EVERY student that graduates from Mead High School has support and a plan for what they want to do next.

The College and Career Center is your resource for:

  • College research and college application support
  • Obtaining forms (college visits, job shadow, letter of recommendation)
  • Finding and applying for scholarships
  • Looking for and applying for local jobs
  • Creating a resume
  • Preparing for interviews
  • Exploring Military opportunities

XELLO - Future Readiness Software

Every student has access to XELLO, an online future readiness program geared to support students in discovering which post-secondary pathway and training is right for them. Xello provides avenues for self assessment, career research and exploration, information on appropriate training programs or extended education opportunities, resume support, and information on financial aid. Students will utilize XELLO throughout high school and complete a variety of future readiness activities items that will serve as their planning portfolio and high school and beyond plan. Students can locate Xello on the MHS website under the Academic Tab and log on with their MHS network username and password.
