2015 Running Start Informational Meeting

On February 4th @ 6:00 pm in the MHS Theater representatives from the community colleges and Eastern Washington University will present information about the Running Start programs along with the application and enrollment process. If you are a current sophomore or junior and interested in pursuing the Running Start program for next school year please attend the following informational meeting that is available to both students and families.

Bridge Building Competition 2015!

Two months ago instructors Andy Arnold and Bill Patrick submitted a proposal to the Washington State Foundation for Structural Engineers for a new District Popsicle Bridge Building Contest. Influenza News From Our School Nurse, Ruth Erb

As most of you already know influenza season is in full swing. There have been many confirmed cases throughout the District/Spokane County. I wanted to remind everyone to be aware of the signs and symptoms of influenza. Please keep your children home when they are not feeling well. Especially if they have had a fever in the past 24 hours.

STCU's Hundred Dollar Project Votes Mead's Projects 1st and 2nd out of 53 Participants

A group of Mead High School students will receive $2,500 through STCU's Hundred Dollar Project, for making blankets for foster children at the Hutton Settlement.

Another Mead group received $1,500 for a separate project to help kids at Sally's House, while a group from Coeur d'Alene's Lake City High School received $1,000 for a literacy project.
