She earned a 4.0 this year and her dream is to become a civil engineer.
Sarah came to the U.S. in November 2014. She is from Iraq originally. Her family escaped to Syria in 2009 and lived there for 4 years.Due to the increasing violence in Syria, they returned to Iraq. From there they had a second chance to leave their country and came to the U.S. She started at Mead at the end of November as a non-English speaking student, and is also a 4.0 student. Sarah is also very determined, hard-working and resilient. Her dream is to become a police woman.
It's easy to see why these two girls are best friends. They have similar experiences, backgrounds and traits. They deserve our recognition and our respect. Congratulations Samire and Sarah!
