College Credit Opportunities
Running Start is a state-funded program allowing students to earn high school and college credit simultaneously.  Spokane Community College (SCC), Spokane Falls Community College (SFCC), and Eastern Washington University (EWU) offer this opportunity for junior and senior students. In addition to receiving credit for third and fourth year World Languages classes, Mead High School also offers dual credit through the four-year Biomedical and Engineering curriculum.

Whitworth University and Gonzaga University also offer dual enrollment to high achieving junior and/or senior students whose college preparatory curriculum would be enhanced by taking one or more college-level course. Courses are taken for college credit and provide students with a head start on their college degree.
