Welcome to Mead High School’s College and Career Center’s website! The College and Career Center is an extension of Mead High School’s amazing team of counselors. Our goal is to support the mission of the school and assist students in developing a High School & Beyond Plan that will help guide and prepare them for their postsecondary aspirations. The postsecondary aspirations may include pathways for application to four-year colleges or universities, two-year community or technical colleges, apprenticeship programs, industry standard certificate programs, military training, or on-the-job training. Our mission is to make sure that EVERY student that graduates from Mead High School has support and a plan for what they want to do next.

  • College research and college application support
  • Obtaining forms (college visits, job shadow, letter of recommendation)
  • Finding and applying for scholarships
  • Looking for and applying for local jobs
  • Creating a resume
  • Preparing for interviews
  • Exploring Military opportunities
  • Preparing for the ACT, SAT, or ASVAB
  • ​Financial Aid support 
  • Apprenticeship opportunities
  • Completing a High School & Beyond Plan for graduation

Grade Level Google Classrooms
Every student has access to a google grade level classroom that serves as a hub for all resources related to post secondary planning. Information will be posted related to college and career visits, college applications, college fairs,  job and scholarship opportunities, trade & apprenticeship information, and supportive information related to your "high school & beyond plan requirements."    Parents and guardians can join by having your student send you an invite from their own account.

 SchooLinks- Future Readiness Software 
Every student has access to SchooLinks, an online future readiness program geared to support students in discovering which post-secondary pathway and training is right for them. SchooLinks provides avenues for self assessment, career research and exploration, information on appropriate training programs or extended education opportunities, resume support, access to their individual transcript, and information on financial aid. Students will utilize SchooLinks throughout high school and complete a variety of future readiness activities items that will serve as their planning portfolio and high school and beyond plan. Students can access SchooLinks by going to SchooLinks.com and logging in with their google account.
