Austin Stuchell Named Panther Boys Cross Country Coach

Congratulations to Austin Stuchell! Austin, who is currently an assistant track coach in our boys’ track program was selected as Mead’s Boys Cross Country Coach. Austin currently works as a Nutrition Center Technician at Sacred Heart Medical Center. He is a graduate of Lakeside High School and a 2014 Graduate of Carroll College. Austin is replacing Steve Kiesel who has been at Mead since 2006 and coaching in 1987. Steve was head cross country coach at Rogers from 1990 through 2004. Austin has this to say about his new position:

I'm honored and humbled to be Mead's Head Boys Cross Country Coach. I want to say a thank you to Coach Kiesel for everything he has contributed to the team in his tenure as coach. I've already had time to meet many of my athletes and I'm excited to begin guiding and coaching the young men of Mead High School into a new program. And with such an already warm and welcoming community I have nothing but great things to look forward to this coming cross country season as we welcome a new generation of young runners. I can't say enough how grateful I am for this opportunity and pumped to be a Panther, GO MEAD!"
